Sexual Penetration

Sexual penetration means any of the following:

  1. the penetration, however slight, of the anus, penis, urethra, vagina, or vulva by a finger, hand, lips, mouth, tongue, penis, or any object.
  2. penetration of the lips or mouth, however slight, by an anus, penis, scrotum, vagina, vulva, or object of a sexual nature or purpose. 
  3. intrusion of the crease of the buttocks, however slight, by a finger, hand, lips, mouth, tongue, penis, or any object. 

Sexual penetration is completed if the penetration occurs via direct skin-to-skin contact, through covered body parts, or through a combination of covered and skin-to-skin contact.

Emission is not required to prove penetration.

Sexual penetration does not include the penetration of the anus, penis, urethra, vagina, or vulva, or intrusion of the crease of the buttocks, when done for a valid medical purpose.
